Harry Potter, the boy who lived and defeated the dark lord = A new dark lord?

I don't think that can happen, that the one who defeats the Dark Lord becomes the next Dark Lord. Dumbledore defeated Grinnewald and didn't become a dark wizard or a Dark Lord. Maybe to deafeat Voldemort completely, he will have to be defeated with something else than dark magic, with something light - light defeating the dark.

A fate worse than death that I can see would be to have the dementors turn on him and suck out his soul.

I mean they are dementors, I don't really see them as loyal servents.
As soon as things go south for Voldemort they could always turn on him to get back in the good graces of the ministry.

That is quite an interesting idea. Perhaps Voldermort's soul is so foul that a dementor would choke on it. I imagine Voldermort would not enlist the dementors without some kind of backup plan. Maybe his soul is so corrupt that a dementor would not be able to digest it.

And now that Harry has had firsthand experience with a fully powered Voldermort, do you think that Voldy may have replaced the Dementors as Harrys greatest fear?
