Do you think McGonagall has been left some information about what needs to be passed onto Harry?

It would be good to see more of the Pensieve I agree but DD would have had to store these in those jar things. Of course Harry would need to know where they are so that he can access them. McGonagall is the only person I can come up with that DD would trust and Harry has got to have access to an untampered Pensieve as well.

DD must be dead gadfly22 as his painted portrait has appeared in the office. Don't think we have a Lord of the Rings thing going on here as JKR is already criticised much for copying stuff and she will not write something just because everyone likes a particular character.

On Falkes, I think he's left because his master no longer resides at Hogwarts. Does that mean he has another master now though like in the case of Kreacher? No idea but I hope he plays some part in the next book with the connection of the wands etc. Don't think LV knows what really happened at the end of GOF and whether he understands that what did happen was down to a wand connection - it will certainly be interesting. Harry obviously knows because Olivander told DD and then he told Harry.

I thin McGonagall is certainly in on some act. If Harry goes to Hogwarts, it'll be to meet and talk to her. DD's probably left a msg for him. Or he could always talk to the painting.

I wish i knew the level at which they could interact! I think the ministry will be happier with McGonagall in charge as her methods won't be as unorthadox!

I think that'll be a major plus for all involved, obviously its v v v v bad that DD is dead but it means the minister can not be trying to compete wit DD and stop worrying whats happening at HW!

I reckon Dumbledore has dozens and dozens of memories stacked away there. My guess is that Harry will be given access to them, and to Snape;s ones too.

I think Hogwarts must be closed the next year, somehow Harry is going to have to have access to Hogwarts without being stalled by classes and such. I can see him spending time there, or Hermione, to learn more about what needs doing. As for Fawkes, I don't think he will get "passed on" like Kreacher, he's just too noble, isn't he? Maybe he will choose who he helps (harry) or come into the battle in some other way, I don't think he his gone forever. As for DD, I think he's dead too, no way is he coming back.

Yeah, think you're right Froggs, Phoenix's are much more supreme to House-Elves but I was thinking does DD have any relatives that we do not know about...?? I was thinking in terms of inheriting him.
