New Romance for Book 6?

I think that the luna/harry theory isn't really going to work out because it seems to me that they seem like they're going to become close friends rather than lovers. it's the way that throughout OotP harry has constantly gone through experiences that although ron and hermione sympathise and support him, they don't really know. but with luna when harry says something that sounds crazy luna picks up on it and is like oh yeah that's normal for me. she is like someone he can really confide in because she knows what he's talking about cos she's gone through simlilar experiences and sees things in the same way, like seeing thestrals, she understands about the voices behaind the veil etc.

as for the harry/ginny thing well me being a hopeless romantic (Rev mom you know of my Wuthering heights obsession). i think they will have to get together cos since CoS she's stopped being gawky and has slowly become this much more quietly confident woman who knows how to act around guys, isn't ridiculous around harry and i do think that it will be harry who will see her in a differnt way. and in OotP she was becoming a bigger character rather than a minor part. i think that JKR has had this planned from the start. and i like Rev mom's point that she's like lily, she does seem like there's more to her than you first think. and not only that but ginny is such a huge contrast to Cho.

Cho well few words needed - whiny, annoying, irritating, overemotional, irrational, DRAMA QUEEN!! (get her some counselling quick!)

I'm really expecting Ginny's role to heat up in books six and seven. Since JKR has already stated that books six and seven will more thoroughly answer questions rather create new ones, this to me seems like a "done deal" although I hesitate to say that knowing JKR occasionally peruses sites like this one. Oh heck, I'll say it anyway. Harry and Ginny are a done deal. It's just a matter of when, where and how it happens.

Does anyone think there's anything significant about the fact that Ginny Weasley is the 7th child out of seven children? Do you think there will be anything "lucky" or perfect in her since 7 does have strong religious/mythical implications as a lucky number? I'm thinking she will prove to be very lucky for Harry. He's saved her life. I'm thinking in book six or seven it will be her turn to save his. It's formulaic, but it works and it brings out the reciprocal nature of love which usually benefits both parties involved.

i don't know if ginny being the seventh is a coincidence or not, i'm trying to think if there have been any other significant religoius symbolic details that have been important but i can't think of any, can anybody else?

I reckon that harry is gonna hav 1 more short thing, like with cho( ), except with luna. the difference wil be that they wont hav so much of an emotional break up

i do see harry and ginny going together, especially after the easter egg thing. it seems obvious, but you dont notice it at all. aw, that doesnt mak any sens

i also think that ron wil hav a funy relationship, with cho or somebody, if she visits a psychiartrist first

Like B4 they played quidditch she only said good luck to Ron and she laughed hysterically at the stuff he said. Of course i could not see Ron even nearly considering something with luna... The big romance for Harry will definitely be in the end, with Ginny Weasley...JKR is a bit of a romantic. She won't disappoint there.

I hope so...
Luna, however, is a character I can't quite put into place. What is her function, if not a love interest? I have a slight feeling that she might die, for whatever reason.

I voted for Ginny though, I think that JK put her falling for Harry like she did in the first few books for a purpose, to highlight things to come.

I really think it will be Ginny because she "loved" Harry before she even knew him properly, Ron is of course best suited for Hermione if not why is there so much tension between them lol, Harry could also be with Luna but I can't really see that happening because I think Neville and Luna would make a cute couple... But I'm definately saying Ginny, maybe they'll get together in the 7th book and I like the idea of them playing a Truth or Dare game and a dare (or two) was to kiss Harry....

It would be cool if it waz the whole of Gryffindor playing ...

Where I come from, we call those "fangirls" and they can't love someone like Harry, because they don't even know him really. I think she is a good friend to Harry now that they've gotten to know one another, but I don't think it would be wise to just turn her into Harry's girlfriend.

1) Ron is not best suited for Hermione, they are rather bad for each other actually, if you look at their personalities and values.

2) There's tension between Harry and Draco too, but we don't see many of those shippers out there, now do we?

Are we even reading the same books, becuase those sorts of things don't happen in HP, they belong in the teen books you've been reading it seems

You can easily say the same thing about Hermione, and Hermione is better suited to Harry Heck, he even admitted to finding her attractive... plus why is it that Krum and Cho see what so few people in this chatroom want to?
