Hmm...!Athena Appleton wrote:i think that the only way it would remotely make sense for the teachers to be married is to each other... and then that opens up a whole new can of worms...
Athena Appleton wrote:Well, we are probably supposed to question this (at least about what teachers do outside of school and on holidays) since Harry does. He wonders where Dumbledore is on summer vacation, imagining him at a beach somewhere, and finds it odd that McGonagall turns up at 12 Grimmauld Place in a muggle dress and coat... hmmmmm... very interesting... very interesting indeed...
Aberforth wrote:The muggle dress is an interesting point. McGonagall seems very at ease with muggle dress, whereas many wizards don't have a clue.
I have a theory on this and other have touched on it. Hermione and McG being related - but not by blood, by marriage, therefore Hermione is still a m*dblood (sorry) but ti would explain why Hermione and McG seem very close. McG seems to know what Hermione says to HP and RW (OotP - when HP is sent to McG and they talk about Toadwoman's speech).
Jotomicron wrote:Both of them seem very connected, but I always supposed McGonagall would be a pureblood (maybe not) and that would explain why McGonagall seems so connected with Hermione
I would want to spend christmas day with my wife, so assuming this is the case for the staff, the staff must be married to each other.

Athena Appleton wrote:[he refers to everyone by their first name... Minerva, Argus, Poppy, I forgot what Mad-Eye's real name was, but that's what he called him.... It's an interesting theory, but I don't think his calling her by her first name is enough to make it stick...
