Iluvatar, do you know what your name means?
If you do it would seem that you are a resolute LOTR fan, just as I. Iluvatar sounds better than Eru though....

Yes I know what my name means.
However I'm not really sure it really means something, it's just a name.
I've read the Silmarillion as you probably guessed but I had to read it in french since my school library didn't have a copy in english so we might have different names for the same things. Glad to know that somebody knows what it means though. I don't know many people who do.

Bottom Line: Time turners were a very BAD idea by JK Rowling as it opens up a new field that she doesn't have the time in a mere 4 four books to explain. I try to pretend that it didn't exist in the story, since they really do not belong.

They cannot use the timeturner because there are loads of people running and fighting around DoM at the point of Sirius's death...
The rule of using time turner is never to allow anyone to see you...
what if Moody saw 2 Harry...he will surely hex one of them (thinking that was a Death eater in disguise)
It was total chaos down at DoM and it will definitely be a disaster if they use time turner

Hrmmm, well, I really liked the time turner, but then I have never found the time travel thing really confusing!
It's a very strange brian that I have... it doens't understand my uni work, but time-travel I get perfectly fine... go figure!!!

You might also think of the existance of multiple universes. Which means anything that can happen, do happen, in different timelines. Take 2 timelines T1 & T2 for example. T1 being Sirius lives and T2 being Sirius dies. Harry2 in the future of T2 where sirius dies travels back in time to save Sirius. However in saving him he sends time down the T1 path. Harry1 sees that Sirius is alive and does not go back to save him. The future of T1 has two Harrys. H1 and H2. H2 can never go back to T2. And that doesn't matter. Their Co-existance will have no paradoxical effect on one another because they're from 2 different universes. The future of T2 has no Harry because he's gone back in time and got stuck in T1.
