I think that you have picked up on a very important fact there highsorcerer... After all, even Ron and Hermoine were a little in awe of Harry when they first met him... Ron with the scar qns, and Hermoine quoting books he was in... Luna just accpeted him... I wonder what this will develop into...
I do think that she is very strnage though, but not always sincerely strange... at times, I kind of got the impression that she was putting it on a bit because that was what people expected of her... like with that laughing at Ron's joke (I think Ron's) on the train to Hogwarts... noone thinks that anything is that funny...
Also, maybe she goes a little to extremes because of her father... he's obv got to have some strange out there kind of ideas fromt he impression we get of The Quibbler!!!
