Maybe DD will finally take the job. . . probably not but he would be the obvious choice for the position

i think the next MoM will be someone who is already part of the ministry, but believed dumbledore and not fudge. i can't remember who said it but i agree that madam bones would be a good possibility.

now back on topic, the more that i think about it, i've narrowed the half blood prince down to two possibilities in my mind. gg or someone completely new. i just don't think that it is somebody living that we have already met.

Maybe it could be someone whe didnt believe Dumbledore, but is humble enough to admit he was wrong and then take the job. I think Fudge is going to get kicked out of his postition cuz he is to proud to admit he was wrong, and Percy will try to do the same. Madam Bones sounds like a good candidate.

My tip for the next minister is Amelia Bones. Why not have a woman now? And she seems like a fair person.

And I'm beginning to be persuaded that GG is the HBP. On the second thought... no, I'm not yet persuaded, it won't be him. I would like the HBP to be someone else, GG wouldn't be any surprise.

Well, I bet JKR is reading every post we make, and thinking "They figured it out. I guess I have to rewrite it." Lol, I hope not, but I'm firmly believing in GG.

That makes a lot of sense. GG sounds noble and brave. I know he's prolly not going to be that kind of prince, but he fits the profile.

I am pretty convinced this definatly has something to do with the sorting hat and GG's good ole' sword. I dont know if this quote has been mentioned yet...but there you go.

I think that the Hand of Glory has something to do with it. It seems like there is a lot to be told about it and yet we only get a brief description in the CoS. Moreover, while the scene was almost cut out from the movie, we do see the hand there.

well, what if he wasn't?

I'll try and start a topic or something in the What If? part of the site, if this gets really out of control.

Here's a crazy lil something i just thought of. Who says the half blood prince is half wizard, half muggle. On JKR's site she says that Crookshanks is half kneazle, no matter what his other half is, he is half blood. Crookshanks is the HBP. A-HA. lol

At this point the conversation in going in a circle. We are having a number of suspects, but no evidence or proof of anything.

I hope we don't have to wait too long for book 6!
