If the movie has a kid with really obvious blue eyes, and J.K. Rowling guides things in the movies that are really essential to the plot, then I don't think there's a story connecting Harry/Lily's eye color to Voldemort or Slytherin or anything like that

i'm not so sure.

In the movies Harry was meant ot wear green contacts but they irritated his eyes too much (i think it was said on the DVD)

His eyes are also mentioned by Molly, his dress robes would bring out the green in his eyes, she sends him green jumpers etc.

i cant figure out how but the colours are somehow significant.

Ron for example is constantly dressed in maroon, it is always a big poiint, although he hates it.

oy... Following this line of thinking, Harry's related to Slytherin and Gryffindor (obvious Gryffindor possiblities, green eye possibility with Slytherin), Harry's related to Dumbledore and the Weasleys (red hair/Lily's hair)...

With the contacts thing, I know that, but I still think that if it was the only major hint that Harry is related to Slytherin (that he has green eyes), they would have found out SOME way (with computer graphics or something) to not have those prominent blue eyes staring at you all the freakin time. I mean, seriously, if green eyes were a major hint in the stories, and it's not backed up by a lot of other hints, then they would have done SOMETHING to have Harry's eyes be green, or at least they wouldn't have made Daniel Radcliffe's vivid blue eyes so obvious.

Not to mention, we all know that Daniel Radcliffe is no great shakes as an actor. If having green eyes were the major hint that Harry is related to Voldemort (which would obviously be a major storyline), the movie industry is not nice enough to not hire someone else. Happens all the time.

I went to the link posted above, and JKR said that The Green Flame Torch will not be the title, or have significance in book six. She also requests that we stop calling Voldemort "Voldy"

I looked at it and thought it was funny. She was kidding around, i think, about the Voldy thing. She was more wanting to make sure that we don't start considering him a cuddly teddy bear.
