Crookshanks

I don't know if anybody else has seen this or if this has already been discussed, but following the World Book Day webchat by JKR, she mentioned something about Crookshanks.

Hagrid mentioned he`s allergic to cats in PS why has he never sneezed when Crookshanks was around?
JK Rowling replies -> He's never around Crookshanks very much. I'm allergic to cats and I can be in a room with one briefly. But of course, Crookshanks isn't all cat. Read 'Fantastic Beasts...'!

I flicked through 'Fantastic Beasts.....' and found that the Kneazle is a cat-like creature who is intelligent and able to spot suspicious people. They can interbreed with cats and can be loyal pets if they take to the wizard owner. They are also good at getting their owner home when lost. It seems that Crookshanks is part kneazle to me and this has to come out somehow. Maybe Hermione gets lost and Crookshanks helps her back to Hogwarts.

i thought everyone already knew crookshanks was a kneazle! i did as soon as fantastic beasts came out..

hermione already probably knows crookshanks is what he is from PoA, sirius drops enough hints i.e. he's the smartest one of his knid

Clearly, I'm just slower on the uptake. I don't think I got that far into 'Fantastic Beasts...' when I first started it. I only looked again after that webchat.

I'm pretty sure Hermione knows too - she knew about Lupin being a werewolf. She'll probably drop it in after Crookshanks does something clever like its something Ron and Harry should know (but they won't have worked it out). Kinda like the apparating/disapparating into/out of Hogwarts...
