Mr Weasley doesn't search for Dark Stuff... just Muggle stuff that has been charmed. He only found some shrinking keys,a nd a biting kettle... The nasty stuff, that wasnt' in his department, was owned by Motrlake... whoever he is???

Well,Iam assuming that the old cround are also friends of DD, and I cant' see any friends of DD's being into something that dodgy... :(

I would assume that he woud have gone to see one of his friends for help.. okay, Sirius was in jail, and Lupin doesn't seem to well off, but DD??? He could have gotten a job at Hogwarts... they appear to pay well!
