Does any1 else think harry's patronus wil change? (Spoilers)

Postby Rachel_Lestrange » Monday 5 December 2005 2:44:02pm

I dunno why but I think after the death of Dumbledore  I think harry's patronus may change possibly into a phoenix!

At the present it is a stag (which is the animungus version of his father). And i have reason to believe that patronus's of reflect people we love. And as harry knew dumbledore better than he new his parents and almost inevitably loved him like a parent/ grand-parent this could lead to the changing of his patronus....

What do you all think?

Hi RL

Hmm not sure about this one. Harry seems to be really proud that he has something that reminds him of his father. I know he has his invisibility cloak but Patronuses just seem so very special as not many witches and wizards can do them. I think Harry is proud of himself for being able to conjure one but also that there is a link to his dad every time he does. Again it's another love thing I suppose as well.

I can't see it it changing to be honest.

I agree with Barny. Can't really see that changing. He might have been very fond of Dumbledore but he also loved his father. I think that in his mind the 2 are 2 distinct charachters.

Yeah, the death of DD will definitely affect Harry somehow. I think it will make Harry much stronger. Not saying that he wants revenge but it will come close to that feeling I think. Harry will be more focused and driven in the next book. He's also more motivated than ever to put an end to all the bloodshed.

I believe someone's will change, because I think it'd be interesting... buuut, not Harry's. It's one of the true bonds he has with his father, and cutting it would be terribly sad. Harry could never let himself let his father go, and whatever you say, that is how he would view his patronus changing.

I agree with PitA. If that happened, it would symbolize DD replacing James as Harry's father, which would be bad.

I agree, the stag patronus symbolises Harrys pride in his parents. I think despite never having met them as somebody old enough to remember it he still has more love for them than for all but a select few living people. The stag stays, methinks.

Oh what the hell - Harry's patronus will become the giant squid.

Wow! i never really though tof that, but that really seems like something that would happen. Because when James was at Hogwarts, he pretty much had a care-free life, apart from lupin's werewolfness. But with Harry it is different, and he's not going to have a normal 7th year, but after his 6th year, he now knows that.

Wow, i cant believe i dodnt think of that.
