I just re-read the rules, and I'm happy to say that in the short time I've been here, there have been so few problems! I think kudos should go to Paul and the mods for this.
However, in the event that there is rule-breaking or a 'problem member', I'd like to ask the mods and Paul to comment on how this is dealt with and how they (or if!) would want to be approached by a general member (like myself) in regards to these matters. On such a large forum with so many posts and members and people being here at different times, catching everything would be hard. That's not to say that Paul and the mods don't do a great job...they really do, in a nice, polite, yet assertive manner. The anarchy I've seen and experienced on other forums is NOT present here.
It's inevitable that, from time to time, there will be people who join and do not adhere to the rules and/or do not respect other posters. Sadly (and I've seen this first-hand), it's not responding to these people and dealing with them that has caused people to leave other forums...who wants to come online to read posts ridiculing them for their thoughts, beliefs, interests, or personalities? Again, I am *not* suggesting the mods and Paul don't do what they need to--they do--I'm just curious if a member, like myself, sees an instance of this, do we let someone know and if so, who? And how? Maybe that's entirely down to the mods and Paul, and if so, I respect that wholeheartedly. I just was curious what the protocol was here and what your (the mods and Paul's) feelings are on the matter. Thanks for reading!
