is it just me or does the mark all forums read link not work??

its never bothered me before because the place wasnt very over active but now it is and it would be useful sometimes to mark all posts read but the thing never works.....

well the forum remembers what has been posted since the last time you visited and when you search for new posts thats what shows up

it calls these posts unread posts, and they stay as unread until you leave and return or untill you click the button that marks everything as read....unfortunately that button doesnt work so i have to leave and come back and log in everytime i want to reset my list of 'unread posts'

go to login, and check the box that says log in automaticly, that's what i do

i have that checked, it doesnt work on my computer

but that wouldn't help me with my wanting to mark posts read problem anyway

I feel silly asking this, but where do you find the "mark all forums read" option that you're trying to activate?

well at the top of each forum below the title theres a 'mark all posts in this forum' read link

and on the main page on the left side of the screen as you look at it just beleow the last of the forums theres a 'mark all posts read' link

lol...every forum has a mark all posts read link....i cant beleive you hadnt noticed it before.....

oops...in each individual forum its on the top right....

but on the main page its definately the bottom left between the forums and the who is online bit

i sometimes use the 'view posts since last visit' button, if i don't feel like going through each forum individually. it's rather helpful if you don't have a bunch of time to go at your leisure... lol...

you know, it takes me so long to go through all the RPing threads, now.. i guess i went a little overboard with creating new threads... :grin:

I use the "view posts since last visit" option sometimes too. Thanks Sonkem - I've found the links you mentioned and yes I do feel highly silly. Still, you got me laughing at my own stupidity here

. Aha, yes, I see the problem - indeed they don't work. I'll check around in the next few days to see if there is a fix that can be done.

The "mark all forums read" feature should be working now.
