I heard somwhere that because of the last LotR movie, they are delaying the filming and release of The Prizoner of Azkaban. Untill when, I don't know. Has anyone else heard about this? I would really like to know.

What does LotR have to do with HP?

Nothing, really. The only way that it is related is that the final movie of the trilogy will be released around the same time as PoA. HP producers are afraid that since LotR is a big hit, they don't want the third and final movie of the trilogy drawing in a bunch of people, leaving PoA with very little sales. That is at least the way that I have heard it, I don't think that it is completely accurate.

I haven't heard that, but I have heart that there is going to be a delay for the release of the 5th book, Order of The Phoenix. And who is directing PoA? Chris Columbus again> I know Spielberg was supposed to, but then he decided that it wasn't challenging enough for him. Whatever that is supposed to mean!

I hate it that they are delaying the 3rd movie but lets give the actors a break! I understand why they are doing it.

LOTR: Two Towers isn't even going to be released until December... HP on November 15th. Besides, they were both out together last year and they both did extremely well. No, AWESOME!

But since the final LotR is coming out around the same time as PoA, Producers are afraid that Return of the King will draw in everyone.

I could see that, Shadow. But maybe parents will stick their kids in PoA, while they go and watch Return of The King. If the theatres are smart, they will have those movies start at the same time. That is what I would do.

Even if they do delay it, it might only be for a couple of weeks. If we can wait a year, two weeks won't hurt us.

P.S. Maybe the new director will do a better job

Speilberg is not doing the next Star Wars. He said in an interview that he would like to but George Lucas won't let him.
