Cho Chang cast (for real)

According to imdb.com news, the part of Cho Chang will be played by unknown actress Katie Leung. After a long search and many (MANY) rumors, Leung, a sixteen-year-old girl born in Scotland, beat out over 4,000 girls for the role of Cho. According to a movie insider, the film producers and J.K. Rowling wanted to get a complete unknown, and that Katie is definately perfect for the role.

yes, she's Chinese, but she's born in Scotland... i don't think there are pictures yet, since she is really an unknown.

i think i saw on imdb a few weeks ago that they have started filming GoF... or at least they're about to start filming

Lol! I saw that when I was searching for pics last wednesday!

I think that out of those girls, Mimi Chen Yiqi (#7), Lang Sim (#9) and Nancy Kao Tzu-Hsuen (#17) look the most like how I imagined Cho. All the others are too old or too model-ish, if you know what I mean.

Erm...as for the link above...I doubt that girl is the one acting as Cho Chang. It seems like some beauty contests somewhere in China, HongKong and Taiwan. How do I know that...haha because #16 is a hongkong actress. I've seen her TV series before.
But they are far too old for the role of Cho.

yeah, that's for a beauty pageant kind of thing... that Katie Leung is not the one playing Cho, the Katie Leung playing Cho is 16 years old.

The same guy is doing the screenplay as who wrote the first three. Apparently, he and J.K. Rowling work very well together.

They've said who the director of the GoF will be... I just forgot. I think his name was Mike something. *shrug*

In the article I read, they talked about how sweet and charming this girl is, and how she's just like Cho, so apparently, at least for the fourth story, they aren't planning on having her be annoying. Then again, she didn't really come across as annoying, or any other more colorful words, until OotP.
