Phew someone took on the role of Voldemort and it wasn't Rowan Atkinson, HORRAY. I actually like him as an actor but as Voldemort, no no and NO, not fitting. If he was made Voldemort it would have been a bigger disaster than its going to be anyways.

Hmm yeah I'm kinda glad he isn't going to play him. He's a very talented and all, but his fame as Mr. Bean would overshadow the movie, and LV power wouldn't have the same effect.

I dunno, I'd like to see his acting chops in something more than comedy. Plus, with a face and voice like his and the right music. I think he could be right terrifying as Voldermort

It'd be a bit of a risk though. Having a famous comedian act as the most terrifying villain in the movie of one the the world's most popular books.

I would always seen him as Mr Bean. Maybe he would be a good Voldemort, but still, for me it would be funny, seeing Mr Bean as the most evil man in HP books. :D

With the make-up it takes to make voldermort, I'd be surprised if they could find Bean in there

yeh, but rowan is a comedian. hav you seen johnny english? funniest movie ever, and that is how he acts. he is in a silly situation, and is trying to get out, in a mr beanish way. imagine LV accidently getting into a situation, then trying to get out of it without a few AKs?

He's an actor, and from what I've seen in his interviews, quite a brilliant one. I believe it would do him good to try to expand his repetour and play a serious character, and what better way is there than a big budget movie loads of people are going to go see

OMG if they made Mr.Bean as the Dark Lord then i would be so mad. He is a comedy actor, and the Dark Lord is mean, not funny

I wouldn't call him a "comedy actor". I'd just call him an actor. Sure he's been in a lot of comedy, but a good actor can fill a variety of roles. A good actor would be able to be hilarius in one movie, symathetic in another movie and terrifying in another movie. Just because Rowan Atkinson has done a lot of comedy doesn't mean that he can't act in any other genre. Unfortunetly, I've only ever seen Rowan Atkinson in comedies, so I don't know how well he could act in other genres. I'd give him a chance though.

I could say that Gary Oldman is a "villian actor", but look at how brilliantly he played Sirius.

He does come across as a brilliant actor as well. Just the way he appears you could almost see him on any screen. I just don't think the crew would take the risk, if there was a minor possibility that some people would be thinking of Mr. Bean the whole time.

Voices can be altered... Though I suppose it wouldn't sound very natural if they did that..

Atkinson is great, but I'd be verrry disappointed if he was Voldemort. He could look mean, but I don't think I could see him as anything other than a comedy actor, Mr. Bean...that's all I would think. It'd take too much away from the movie.

Malkovich would be perfect. He has an extensive career. He has done well playing sick, demented characters. I hope it's him.

Ralph Fiennes, maybe, he could probably do it, but I'd rather see Malkovich.

Apparently Ralph Fiennes is going to play Voldemort. Funny, since a lot of people wanted him to play Remus....

I'm sorry to the people who want Rowan as Voldemort, but it was most likely never going to happen. He would still most likely be recognizable, and nobody really wants Voldemort to look like Mr. Bean or Johnny English. Much as I love both of those films/shows.
