If they (the casting people) have cut Oliver Wood from the story, how will the Quidditch scenes play out? I wonder if they'll cut anyone or anything else from the story . . . I hope not! Book #3 is a lot of people's (including mine!) favorite book, so I hope they do a good job with it! :o hehe

I have a feeling those Dementors are going to be pretty scary, and I definitely think this movie should be good, if they stick to the plot! Obviously, the book is better, but I think the plot of book #3 is far superior to books 1 and 2 (and even surpasses books 4 and 5, but not as much as 1 and 2), so it'll be exciting to see it on "the big screen". :D

Geez, I had hoped (but knew it wouldn't happen for some time) I could look forward to a Harry Potter movie every November (which is my birth month), but *sigh* to no avail this go around . . . have to wait a year! But at least it breaks up the wait for the next book, book #6!

I can't believe Oliver Wood won't be in this film! It's his last year at school, and he wins the Quidditch cup! whyyy? :(
The more i hear about this film, the less I want to see it. Don't want David Thewlis as Lupin, pictures of Sirius show him with all these weird tattoos, and now no Oliver Wood?!

The Dementors are gonna be so much like the Nasgul from LoTR...I think at least. I can just see the first scene, when Harry meets the Dementor on the train... the whole thing goes spooky, and all Harry can hear is "Shire....Baggins...." And all the sudden, the Dementor has the BIG HUGE GREAT EYE....*High Pitched Scream*

And I acknowledge the let down of not having a Harry Potter movie this November, since my birthday is nicely tucked in that month....guess I'll just have to have a keg party for my birthday instead....

The only character that i see is perfect as i have imagined it, is Hagrid beside Prof McGon. hermione is not really like in the book for they have missing her 2 large front tooth, and Ron is not that tall at allfor he supposed to be taller than the 2, actually Ron is shorter than Harry :-?.

Oliver Wood

Postby highsorcerer » Saturday 26 July 2003 9:11:46am

In the way I would script it, Oliver wouldn't be needed for the Quidditch scene in movie 3. It would be nice, yes, but not essential. I've posted more in the Ravenclaw house, but basically, I'd combine the 2nd and 3rd Quidditch match, with the Quidditch sequence being against Slytherin for the cup. I'd put Crabbe, Goyle, and maybe a few other Slytherins in the dementor costumes for the match against Gryffindor for the cup, and have them charged by Harry's Patrnous, which then charged Malfoy, causing him to crash land into some Slytherins (stands or the fake dementors). Harry then grabs the snitch. Victory all around; both for Gryffindor and Harry. Defeat for the Slytherins, and the enemy trio (Malfoy, Goyle, and Crabbe). Additional smirks for Lupin and McGonagall's remarks and punishments.

Sean Biggerstaff(oliver wood) is needed!!!trust me im a teenager and he is hott! ok why do you think there are so many teenagers at the harry potter movies who don't even like harry potter??you guessed it olvier wood i mean really its why so many girls drag there dates to the movies yes i know it stupid and i haven't figured out why if you don't like harry potter but whatever just saying that i think he is needed for the movie and could have sworn he signed a contract for all four movies. so there has to be something to keep him in the films.

Choki,

Yes, I think those are supposed to be dementors, before the cgi guys do their thing.
