Am I the only one who thought that the GoF film s*cked?

i'd be awsome if they made the movie, like, 5 hrs. long with a brake in between.

Goblet of Fire movie was awesome

Postby MJH » Wednesday 13 June 2007 7:30:16am

Personally I thought The Goblet of Fire was the best movie so far. I think it was very different from the other movies (particularly the first two) , but then the book is too. As Harry and the others get older, the stories become more complicated and challenging. What really impressed me about the Goblet of Fire movie was how serious in tone it was and also the emotional weight it had, especially towards the end. I think we can safely expect more of the same from Order of the Phoenix. And I for one cannot wait!! :)

I know. But I really did like the emotional, medieval feel that Hogwarrts had and how heavy and deep it was in GoF.
I'm worried about how they're going to do the fifth book without Peeves.

Yep! They missed alot out in this film!! And they did the same in the OotP!! i suppose they can't put everything in the ilms but they add stupid scenes in that don't even exists!!! Like the "dancing classes" with McGongall.

Of course you're not.
I thought it was good when I was actually watching it, but after I got out I realized that all the sugar must've gone to my head.
It was an abomination, in my opinion. I strongly disliked this film, expecially because I LOVED the book.

I hated GOF movie too... It was alright, visually, but the story was so out of wack, I don't know how they are going to sort it out in the end. A heap happened in there that was crucial to the next stories.... I 'm so disappointed. We depend on the movies to draw ppl into the stories, but when the stories are wrong...

Maybe the DH movies will repair the damage. I'm soooooooooo hanging out for HBP!!!

I really want to know what Peeves looks like. Although one of the secrets in JK Rowling's website is a picture of what she thinks Peeve's should look like...

GoF was my least favorite of the movies, which is ironic because it is my favorite book (out of every single book I've read). I just sat in horror every time they cut out a crucial part of the story, and when I left the theater, I was thinking, what a waste of my $2.50, and my time. Don't even get me started with the game. Honestly, the thing I missed most was the kitchen. I thought the kitchen was a very fun part of GoF. Then, spew, as Ron calls it, was missed. I too wonder how they're going to sort this out in the end.

It costs you $2.50 to get into the movie ?

It costs me 11.50, plus popcorn & drink & lollies. In total I have to pay around $22.00
