I heard that the 5th film and 7th book were going to be released within a week of each other. The pencil date for book 7 is 07.07.07 as 7 is the most magically powerful number it would sort of make sense.

Yeah I'm just not sure she'll be happy to use this date though cos it would be the second anniversary of the London Bombs. I know we have to move on but I somehow think it would be a bit callous.

I hope they make a good job of it. If you look at things like scenes left out, scenes added, dialogue changed, sequencing et cetera then it becomes clear that the films deviate more and more from the books as each film is made. At the current rate, while film one was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, film seven will be Giant Ants from Space.

Lets hope they get it sorted, because book 5 is a firm favourite of mine.

is it really one of your favourites? I think my favourites are PoA or GoF but then HBP was really cool too. OOTP for me repeated a lot of stuff and I didn't feel she needed to waste time doing that.

chimera i completely disagree with you - to me the 4th movie was the best and it just gets better each time. and i am one that hates it when the movie is different than the book in lotr 3 (only one i mannaged to see in cinema after reading the book) i sat and explained to my sis mainly how the book is different and how exactly they changed each scene...

also i think ootp was my least favorite book though it has a strong compition from cos... i thought hbp was the best by far then gof, but my most loved one is defenitely sorcerer's stone (dont like the initials of that one) as it obviously was my first hp book but also the first novel i read just cuz i wanted to and not for making a report for school

I'm curious: what are they gonna do about Old Granny Tonks? Will they get an old granny to play her and then dub in the voice? Or will they do it with makeup?

I'd suggest makeup. I mean, I've been made to look like an old granny enough to fool 600+ audience members- and that's with school makeup and me being 16.

Yeah - makeup would be way easier than trying to digitally sync up the voice with the lips, plus less time consuming in terms of editing the film afterward.

I think that this movie will be great but it won't make the same effect as the firts two parts. The movies are loosing their charms, the first was great the second even better and then third... Which was not so good. The fourth was ok and I am scared about this one. There won't be any quiditch, house elfs... I don't know. We only go because it would be stupid to stop going after four parts and because we are amazed by books. It will be ok but it won't make the same feeling in stomach as the first and second. What do you think?
