Wow! I really like them. Thanks Nobby!

One thing tho... am i imagining things, or is buckbeak s'posed to be a different colour?
*runs off to check in PoA*

Ah okay, so buckbeak is grey. maybe i just imagined him being darker, or a more dirty sort of grey. i didn't imagine him grey-white! But he looks amazing all the same

I had seen those...

I'm thinking of building a countdown-to-PoA website... just a little rinkydink one for us, with any pictures we can find...

I found some good lupin ones (and I gotta agree with you, Nobby... I'm disappointed)

I agree...I thought he would look more haggard...rough looking as I also thought Sirius would look more skeletal as well as rougher than he looks in the pictures I've seen. I think I've made all of the movies darker in my head than they truly are...

yeah... actually, the little pencil-thin mustache is what is bothering me, I think... like, I keep expecting him to don a beret and say something with a french accent... and I usually associate men with that little mustache as untrustworthy (sorry if any of you guys have them... don't know why, they just seem like the sleeky ladies men kinda thing)

totally agree, people who haven't read the books will probably think that he is best friends with snape or something just by looking at him.

I agree...In the picture on your site, he just looks shady. I don't think I would trust him very well, I would think he was another Quirrel in the making if I didn't know better...

I agree with all of you that the actor does not fit the image in my head but who knows maybe this fellow will blow us all away and by the time we have finished the movie we won't know what the heck we were all objecting to.

yeah, i know...

actually, I was reading a few articles that had interviews with the director, and, while I think J.K. Rowling had a lot of input, I think he's got some very different ideas than what she ever had in mind, and those will be showing up in the movie. She's always stoutly said that her books are not supposed to parallel history, religion, politics, etc., but he's positive that Voldemort is George W. Bush and Fudge is Tony Blair. And while I know she is glad the movies are able to move the Hermione-Ron thing at a different pace than the books, I dont' feel like there's EVER been a love triangle or romantic feelings of any kind between Harry and Hermione, and I heard in one article that the movie has a love triangle between Harry-Hermione-Ron. So, I don't know if the look for Lupin was enthusiastically ok'd by her, or if she just accepted it.
