New Actors

Postby paintballdecoy » Wednesday 16 June 2004 5:53:11pm

I was wondering about this. Okay, Daniel Radcliffe is my age, 15. Now Harry is 13 in the movie, and Daniel is 15. While he really didn't look too out of place in this movie, but the movies are taking longer then one year to make. So at this rate, Daniel could very well be 18 when Harry should only be 15. Then, he will stick out. Do you think they will replace the actors, purely becuase they are becoming too old for the part they are playing?

hmm this was discussed somewhere before.. but regardless,

U know, they just might be ok, after seeing how Myrtle and Fleur are cast ^.^ i mean the actors and the characters have some big age differences.

After 4 movies we will associate Dan wtih Harry whether we want it or not, and I am sure the casting directors know that ^-^

I think that Mint makes a very good point, but I would like for you to keep in mind also that is not uncommon at all in movies for people in their mid to late twenties to play teenagers.
Face it no matter how old someone looks if they tell us their 15 years old we believe or at least nod our heads and play along.

Don't worry, it's amazing what makeup artists and photographers can do these days.

Yeah I mean the guy who acted as Oliver Wood (Sean Biggerstaff) was 18 playing 15 in SS, 19 playing 16 in CoS and 21 playing 17 in PoA...hmm was Wood in PoA?

So I guess it wouldn't matter too much...besides Moaning Myrtle was played by a 30 odd actress. :o Unbelievable
