Does anyone know anything about the upcoming HP parody movie??

All i know is that the permission contracts with JK and WB have been signed, so it is going to be made.

Joto: check here: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=parody .

I really hope WB and JKR haven't signed permission contracts, particularly if the movie is the one I've just been reading about. As some will know from the Barry Trotter thread I'm pretty much against parodies anyway, but the movie that I've read about sounds far worse than Barry Trotter. If the title and the name of the school is anything to go by I can't believe JKR would sign any agreement giving permission for something that sounds so bad. I've definitely voted for the second choice.

I love parodies and I voted for 3. answer. It depends if the film will be made with a good, healthy humour or some rubbish humour

i think i saw something on mugglenet about this a while ago... from the description there it looked like it was going to be really stupid and perverted. i voted number three cause it this one might be a different parody... the one at mugglenet was more like a rumour plus it was a mix of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings

Just about I read the meaning of parody, I voted for number 3. I do not like those sort of things. I think it will definitely insult our great JKR and her mind!

Well... I do not like parodies either, especially if it's going to be as bad as it seems here... has J.K Rowling really signed the permission contract? I can't believe that she would let them tear her baby to shreds like this...

oooh...some times paraodies can be witty and fun, and other times they are horrible...some thing tells me this paraody will be the mean kind...and I am not looking forward to that. I mean, who wants to sit around and hear one of their favorite books be bashed? (reason number one why I never talk about literature with my friend Chris...he he) Now, if it is a satirical paraody, using a familar story (such as Harry Potter) as a medium for social or political attacks or points, it might have a reason to be around...particularlly if the points agree with JKR's ideas. However, this might put a bad name on the books labeling the real story as right or left wing (or whatever the sides). I guess I am rather opposed to a paraody, just because there is a 50/50 chance that it might be a bad parody.
