Buta waved vigorously at Ouki, with a burger in the other hand. He hurried over and gave a wide grin as she responded to his presence.
"Still snacking? What is it... supper time?"
"Couldn't resist... this muggle food..." Buta replied, munching on his last bit of burger. Ouki puffed out a breath of cigarette smoke right into Buta's face.
"Yes... I know... same with cigar..."
"Oh yeah, where have you been... Inu summoned everyone and you didn't turn up," asked Buta.

Ouki took in the smoke and swirled it in her mouth. "Ya, I heard. He's going to be p***d. " She dropped the cigarette and crushed it under her black boots. "I suppose I'll have to redeem myself somehow." She reached out and pulled the hamburger out of Buta's hands, took a bite and handed it back. "So what's going on anyway?"

"A big bam party!" Buta said excitedly while Ouki gave a clueless look. "What was that supposed to mean?"
"We are gonna kill more muggles!"
"Haven't we been doing that already?" Ouki proceeded to smack Buta with her hand where a wave of water appeared, extending its reach to Buta's head, crashing into him and drenching him in the end.
"Well, well... what a feisty girl we have..." A familiar voice echoed through the darkness.

Yuta walked silently down a dimly lit sidestreet, flicking her eyes across each intercepting alley as she went. Where was that blasted Neko? She didn't have time for this. Any trace of misgivings she had had were now almost completely gone, the slightest tremor in her hands being the only sign it was ever there. Now she was angry at herself for it. She wished some muggle predator would come, she needed a good kill. But no, she would save it for the concert; this rage was always spent best when left to stew for a while. She turned a corner, and Ouki and Buta came into her line of sight. She walked up behind them as they talked, too caught up in their conversation to ever notice her. Just like everyone always was. Yuta was just about to give them both a nastily amusing little fright when a voice somewhere off to her left sounded.
"Well, well.... What a feisty girl we have...."

Chi Inu and Damien walked up to Buta and Ouki, and as they assembled, they were a menacing sight. They very rarely gathered in public together, not because they were afraid of being noticed, but because the occassion had never called for it. Chi looked around at his dark companions and was quietly pleased. He noticed Yuta as she stepped into the group, and then looked around for Neko. "Where is she?" Chi growled at Yuta. A very, very small place inside of him feared for Neko. Could something have happened to her? Chi wished he could summon her the way that Voldemort had summoned his followers. Something for another time, he promised himself. He and these wizards and witches would be force to reckon with, he was sure of this as sure as he was that if Neko wasn't found soon, he would kill every muggle in this city.

Damien fingered his wand. It had been a while since Neko had been late. It always made the air tense. For some reason, Chi seemed to favor Neko. In these tense moments, it made him want to torture something. Hmmm, what should he torture?

"Hey, Kaba?" he said.

"Yeah, Damien?" Her voice was smooth, like a stream of clear water. Of course, she was much more deadly than a stream. Heck, Damien would rather fall off of a hundred foot waterfall than tango with her. Same with the others. These guys were no joke, and any fool who didn't know that, well, they were lucky if they died quickly. Damien couldn't think of anybody in the group who would prefer Avada Kedavra to their own methods.

He was included in that. No, killing wasn't any fun. The fun part was hearing his victims scream, seeing them curl up in a ball as their nerves screamed in pain. It was beautiful. Just beautiful.

"You care anything for that club over there?"

She looked at him, knowing exactly what he was thinking. "Go ahead, this club sucks. I like your bar better." Damien then nodded at Buta.

"Hey, wanna stop stuffing your face and help me blow up the building?"

Chi was distracted by Damien for the moment. He closed his eyes and rubbed his hands through his hair. "Damien." he breathed. He opened his eyes and looked over at the club. Then he took a step forward and spoke too close to Damien's face. "What is your plan, and how does it involve me shedding a LOT of blood?"

Yuta didn't flinch as Inu accustoded her. She simply stood there in silence, giving no explaination nor reason for exactly why the deed was not done. She knew he favored Neko, and was interested in seeing his reaction to her being missing. Would it be any different than if anyone else was gone? Yuta watched with acute vigil as her little experiment played out.

It had been the promise of a more entertaining prey but one street over that had drawn Neko away- a little girl, no more than seven, walking home alone after going out for some milk. It was still light, so she wasn't as scared as she should have been. Neko paused in the shadows, concentrating hard on the transformation into a slightly larger than normal black cat. Once in the form, she approached the girl and meowed.
"Awww, pretty kitty!" The girl exclaimed. Her ignorance made Neko's skin crawl, but she allowed herself to be petted and brushed up closer as if being affectionate. It didn't take long for the milk to be forgotten and for Neko to be the centre of attention. Sensing that a trust had been gained, she slowly sauntered down the dark alleyway- and as expected, the girl followed so she could carry on fussing her new friend. Within seconds though, she had lost sight of the cat. The shadows seemed to close around her, leaving nowhere for her to return to and nothing to see.
"Kitty?"
"Kitty cat?"
A sniffle, a shudder, an eerie breeze, and Neko stood before the child- a lighter shadow amongst the others. "Are you lost, little one?"
The girl nodded. "Uh-huh, I was playing with a cute kitty and she came here and now I've lost her and don't know where to go."
Neko stroked the girl's hair, smelling the fear, then ran a claw lightly along her tender skin.
"Mmmm, such soft, beautiful skin...well, it was..."
With that, Neko began slowly cutting the girl with her claws- the screams almost like music, and only heard within the mass of shadows. A slash here, a gouge there, a seemingly random pattern determined by her whims. Her hair was ripped away, the clothes a ragged mass, the blood lapped up by an eager and cruel mistress. Neko drew out the agony as long as possible before the girls' mind fled into oblivion. After that, she climbed the pipe and jumped onto the rooftops- leaving the shadows to disperse at their own rate.

By now, night was truly falling. Neko found herself a perch from where she could look over the streets, and paused to look at her nails. The polish there glistened with blood, and it brought a smile to her face to know that the poison in that polish would mean that the wounds on that girl would never heal. They would cause her pain and misery until the end of her days- and given the special "care" given to her face, that may be as soon as she became aware of the term and meaning of suicide. Looking around, Neko saw so many prospective victims just waiting to be pounced upon- and the remains of Inu's earlier playthings. It was difficult to choose who to take, until she spotted a group of teenagers hanging around and leering at passing women. A perfect target.

Neko jumped down to the streets and resumed her most human form- her eyes still glittered promisingly though. She raised her skirt higher and altered her top with a few cuts of a knife to make it reveal so much more of her chest. Checking her hair and her pockets, Neko walked towards the lads. Their attention was grabbed by the sight of a helpless and hot woman approaching them, and their appreciation of the sight was very noticeable.
“Please, sirs,” Neko asked, her voice wavering a little with feigned worry and panic. “Do you know the way to this address?” A piece of paper was handed to them, which they barely glanced at. The best looking of them stepped forward, declaring himself their leader, and spoke in a low voice.
“Sure we do, we can get you there quicker than quick if you’ll follow me?”
“Of course! I would be ever so grateful...”
The boy took her hand and led her onwards, the others following close enough to catch her if she ran. Not that Neko had any intention of running. Pulling her suddenly down a side street, the leader pushed her forwards until she hit a wall. The rest of the group now crowded the entrance to this alley, blocking the only feasible exit as there were no pipes here.
They closed in on her, expecting her to give in to their demands. They weren’t supposed to expect the lightning quick garrotting of their leader, nor the pouncing of a snarling lady with claws glinting in the gloom. Apparently, though, one in their group was a wizard- he’d stayed near the back and threw a Stunning spell at Neko which she barely dodged. As others began drawing out wands, Neko realised she may have taken on more than she could handle with these twenty lads. And with that she smiled.
“Nighty night lads.”
A moment’s confusion, then a blinding flash which allowed Neko to jump over all their heads and run off. A spell of her own for such instances, allowing for them to chase her and for her to pick them off one by one. She ran swiftly, her form blurring from human to feline as she dodged the meandering people, and clambered onto the rooftops as soon as she was able. There was a crack, a fall, then darkness.

Neko looked up, somewhat confused. None of the roofs around here should have collapsed under her insignificant weight. Not unless they were tampered with. A shiver ran up her spine, and Neko knew fear. Without any further time for thought, she was pinned to the floor beneath many hands. A voice spoke out of the darkness of the room, his voice detached and echoing. With a terrified shriek, Neko bucked and writhed in an attempt to free herself. These were cultists of the wizarding community, vigilantes who scoured the world for those who were not quite human but were purely magical- and they left them broken and destroyed, with only a pulse to indicate they still lived.
“You are an abomination, a beast deserving of no name. You are worse than your consort, who only transforms at the will of the moon, as you do this by your own will. You will know the pain of retribution for your acts, until we drive the demonic beast from the human soul within. Then we will find the rest of your group, and cleanse their souls as well. We do this as a service to our community, and to you.”
And then there was pain.

The street was alive with artificial light. Ouki glanced at Yuta, who returned an anxious look. Yuta composed herself, as she always did. Inu frightened her, as he did all of them. But his focus was off her for the moment. Ouki was surprised she herself hadn't been reprimanded too. She shrugged and approached Damien. "Why must we play with fire, dearest?" she said, wrapping her arm around him and shaking him playfully. "I much prefer water play."

She smiled at Buta who stood beside Damien, still filling his face with food that Ouki was sure had not been there a moment before. She noticed two young boys looking back at them as they walked away, annoyed. They were still holding their spilled drinks, and their food had obviously been pulled out of their hands as they had walked by. Smart little boys to keep walking. Buta could have snapped their heads off. Ouki felt someone staring at her and she turned her head to check, but not with enough time to react. Inu had rushed her and slammed her against the wall with his arm across her chest and under her chin. His other hand clutched her face. Ouki's breath caught in her throat as Inu's gorgeous but very very angry face met hers.

"Ouki. dearest." he mimiced the affectionate tone she had used earlier. Ouki saw the others form behind Inu, concern on their face, but devotion too. Yuta looked to see if anyone was watching. Of course they were. A group of young men were standing outside the club and looked over, pointed and commented to each other. Ouki looked back into Inu's eyes.

"I..... " she gasped. He pressed his lips closer.

"Shhhh. I havent' forgotten how you have outright dismissed me tonight."

"Inu I, I...."

"Shhhh... Ouki listen to me sweetness." he stroked her cheek. "If you plan to dismiss me again, remember to hide really well. but I expect I'll find you. I always find what I'm looking for." Ouki stayed perfectly still, waiting for the pain. He took his arm away and in the same motion gave her a right hook with his fist, so she fell in a heap on to the pavement. Inu turned to the others, who observed him motionless.

"What? She likes it when I do that. Don't you Ouki?" Inu smiled.

Ouki wriggled on the ground, brought her hand up to her face and rubbed at her jaw. She spit and blood sprayed onto the pavement. "Ya sure, Inu. I didn't need that tooth anyway." She smiled a bloody smile.

Inu nodded. "Now. Be at the bus in one hour. One hour!" he shouted. "Enough of this small time trash! I go to find Neko." Inu turned to move down the path when two from the group of young men approached and tried to stop him. He pushed them out of the way so hard they almost flew into the street. And then Inu was gone, impossibly fast, past the artificial light into the darker streets beyond.

Yuta gave the barest hint of an eye roll, just below Inu's noticing, and walked over to help Ouki to her feet.
"Agh, must he be so dramatic?" Yuta was the only one who dared mock Inu. She knew he would never kill her for it, because secretly he admired her nerve, and it gave the others' fear of him more of an edge to it. Occasionally she even did it right to his face, so he could use her as an example to the others about how such behavior would be dealt with. Pure, fearing obedience got ever so boring sometimes. These displays ended that boredom. No one else knew what an important role she played in the group, and Yuta didn't feel like revealing it anytime soon.
The others eyed her warily, wondering if she would go on. Yuta looked at them for a moment. "Well, see you all in an hour." She bounded away in light, rhythmic steps that left little imprint upon the ground.
Yuta didn't bother being cautious as she walked down the streets back to her room. As Inu had said, no time for petty fights. Minutes passed in silence. Until to the sound of it, someone apparently disagreed. A ruckus was being let out with a vengeance a couple streets over. Yuta sighed, and veered away from her route to investigate.

Damien never quite understood how Yuta got away with such disrespect, when he himself had been slashed by a knife several times just for speaking when he wasn't supposed to. Inu liked to play favorites with the ladies, for some reason or another, and it often was irritating. Even Ouki, who had just been mauled by him, got off easy. Oh, well.

Ouki was walking back to the hideout with her head hanging. Damien guessed that it wasn't easy for her to deal with that humiliation. Damien knew that it wasn't easy for him to deal with it. He ran to catch up with her. "Hey, you ok? We can't have you all beat up tonight."

She nodded, and Damien noticed that she was rubbing her throught from when Inu had held her to the wall. "I'm fine, she said, trying to smile. Damien saw that Inu hadn't just knocked out a tooth, he had knocked out three.

"Ouki, your teeth..."

"Like I said, I don't need them anyway."

Damien rolled his eyes. "Sheesh, quit being a 'noble-witch.' C'mon, I've got a potion that can grow your teeth back in five minutes."

Ouki smiled a little, whether it was fake, or real, Damien did not know, and said, "Fine, thank you." She gave Damien a light punch to the arm, which he returned, laughing a little as he did so.

Ouki looked up at the tour bus parked in the alley. "What is THAT?" she scoffed.

"It's our ride to Tokyo." Damien said. He went on to explain their little plan as Ouki followed him into the hideout. "I'll be just a sec." Damien said as he disappeared into another room.

Ouki wandered over to the bathroom and went straight to the sink. She turned on the tap, ran the cold water and started rinsing out her mouth. She spat one bloody mouthful after another into the sink. Then she brought the cold water up to her face and rubbed, feeling the blood around her mouth and cheeks coming off. She sighed, leaning over the sink. Then she looked up at her reflection - Her jaw where Inu's hand had connected was already turning purple and blue. It would no doubt go black if she didn't get some ice on it. She filled the sink, then brought her wand out and pointed at the water. "Frezendo!" she said, and the water froze. She tapped the surface, and it broke apart into little pieces. She picked them up and put them in a towel, which she pressed against her face.

She walked over to the bath, and then noticed the towels and the shower; they were covered in blood. She was taken aback. What had happened here? She looked around, and then saw some discarded clothes. They were Inu's. She approached them, lifted them up and then, absently, brought them up to her face. Inu didn't bleed, well, not to death anyway. The blood on his clothes was still wet. She breathed deeply, taking in Inu's scent on the clothes. She knew she was disfigured because of him, her mouth a bloody mess, but she still felt such a pull to Inu that she felt she could die if he chose not to have her around. She still pushed her luck though. She didn't know how serious the summon had been. Inu meant to do something bigger than any of them had ever done before.

Ouki pulled off her cloak and took off her shirt; underneath was a white sleevless tank top. She bent down and started to run the bath. Then she kicked off her boots and took off her jeans. She sat on the edge of the bath, playing with the water with her fingers. Steam started to billow out and fog up the room. She closed her eyes; she was so tired already. Then, she sensed someone was watching her, and then she turned her head and Damien was standing at the door.

Damien snapped his eyes shut as soon as he saw Ouki at the bath. "Ummm..." he said, hoping she didn't get angry for him walking in on her. "Just tell me where to put the potion."

Ouki rolled her eyes and stood up. She walked over to Damien, who had turned his back. "Oh please, Damien!" she scoffed. "Since when are you shy?" She pulled on his shoulder to indicate it was okay to turn around. She noticed he had a vial in his hand, so she reached for his hand. She took the vial out of his hand and undid the stopper. "Cheers!" she said, and downed the potion. It was a bone regrowth potion, she was sure of it, because it tasted perfectly nasty and she couldn't help but double over from the pain. Damien helped her straighten up.
"Nasty stuff, " Ouki croaked. "Find me some painkillers, would you? it's going to be a long night." She turned, rubbing at her jaw and approached the bath. She turned off the taps, as the water was the perfect depth. She turned around and saw Damien had closed the door. "What a gentleman." she mumbled, and then she finished undressing. Even though her clothes were dry, she still reaked of beer. She climbed into the bath and started to lather up some strawberry soap she had left there earlier. "Unlike some idiots." she smiled widely remembering her kill.
