since i can be sorted only once , i want to be clear in my mind about all houses before i choose my house
what kind of discussions take place in the houses? meaning ,in the ravenclaw house for example, only ravenclaw related talks in HP books takes place?
what should be my criteria for choosing a house? how i like the house in HP books? how are the current members in that house like? or anything else?

it's completely down to you Groo! We can't really say what's in each common room 'cos it secret to each house, that's why you can only be sorted once! 
I think that you should see what members are in each house and see who you get along with! Then join the house in which you like the members most!

Well being a slytherin prefect i'm bound to be biased!
but its just generally good fun in all the houses, like nobby said just look at the posts and see what people you seem to like and get on with

If you are interested there are a couple of pinned threads on this topic in the New Members welcome forum...one explaining how to get sorted and the sorting hat songs from the books and one about why you should get sorted which is basically a lot of already sorted people giving reasons why their house is brilliant.
Of course, you could always get Paul to make the Sorting Hat choose for you if you can't decide....
