Yamato no Orochi is a japanese mythical beast killed by Susa no o. It is a great snake as large as a mountain with eight heads and a forrest of moss growing on it's back. The blood leaking from teh sores on its belly are said to make the land grow again

I always thought it was a she, though. And Tanuki, if your orochi spoils the new carpets, you'll be the one to clean it. And please make sure it keeps ALL of its heads out of the girls' bathroom. Now, anyone wanna scare first year Gryffindors? :grin:
