If I may jump in :) (not that I am Paul! ), but I think I wrote about moderators on the '3 mods per forum' thread in this section. I'll repost it here:

For those who don't know, to be a moderator, you must:

(1) either have at least 125 posts or have been a member for a month or more with some posts (not necessarily 125, but enough for Paul to see what your interaction on the forum has been)

(2) have a 'clean record' on the forum...in other words, if you've been member-bashing and/or breaking several rules, you most likely won't be allowed to be a mod

(3) show a sincere interest [there's a reason Neo and Holly are in charge of the Theories section! ] in the section(s) you wish to mod

You can mod up to three sections...more if Paul gives you permission. Since the new limit is three mods per section, as you can see, on her forum, we have several spots for new mods (but also including those mods who only have one or two sections thus far). For the prefect positions, it's nice to have to have at least one person around at any time (with three prefects, that's easier to insure!) so that sorting can happen relatively quickly when someone requests a house (as Paul gave the prefects the power to sort because he isn't here 24/7 to sort people himself).

I hope some people will volunteer to be mods, especially for the one prefect spot for Gryffindor! I think the new mods are doing are doing a great job (zledm007 and gecko, for instance), and if anyone tells you that you'd be a good mod, think on it...why would they say it if they didn't mean it? I love being a mod, and I hope people feel I do a good job. It'll be interesting to see who volunteers...it'd be great to have 3 mods on every section!

I hope that helps hermionegirl09! Good luck to you and all that request to be a mod! :D

hoping for a psitive response ...

Thanks for being very careful in the What If forum about potential spoilers, Ju-DedoH. I think you'd be a fine Moderator and I'm happy to make you part of the "What If" Moderator team. Absolute thanks for taking the place and for thus helping to make BaO a safe and good place to be.

Congratulations Ju-DedoH!

Sincere thanks too to Hermione Weasley for becoming Doctor at St Mungo's, which now gives the Hospital a full staff of 3 Doctors. Any folks who wish to discuss concerns or worries about life in general, the friendly Doctors and fellow forum members at St Mungo's are there to help.

Thanks Hermione Weasley!

Exactly, magical people don't (except stitches man [you'll know if you've read book 5]) use doctors methods! They should all become...(ah!, but isn't that in itself a spoiler?). So hard to cope! :-?

I just saw that there are (only) 2 moderators in 'the books' section. I don't know this for sure, but I think that in due time, the book 5 sections will be merged with the other sections (please correct me if I'm wrong here), so I guess that section might become a bit flooded then. If so, an extra mod might be useful, and well, I'd like to be a mod there, if nobody's got a problem with it of course! Thanks!

I was wondering, since there are only 2 moderators for What-If, and how I love speculation/wonder, could I be a moderator for the What If? section?

well, we don't really need another mod as we don't see that much action, but if you want to, i don't see why not. of course, it's up to paul, but i don't have any objections.

Yay, pleased to confirm that you're now Divination Teacher in the What If? Section, Friar Tuck - have a great time in the exploration through alternative Harry Potter universes. :) Sincere thanks for helping and I really hope you enjoy the Moderator place.
